Ship Approval for Fast Track Switches

The “golden” Fast Track switch series from HARTING has now extended its field of application for use at sea. The Types FTS 3100s-A, FTS 3100-A and FTS 3060-A have been tested and certified to Det Norske Veritas (DNV) requirements.

The type approval is granted according to special guidelines that have been developed for international shipping.The prioritization of automation protocols – a central feature of FTS switches – also play an important role in this area of application. This makes it possible to create a deterministic, high-performance network.

The switch is the key to regulating communication, giving users the greatest level of freedom for using the Ethernet in their applications.
