MK26 REED SENSORS-COMPACT WITH HIGH SWITCHING POWER

MEDER electronic Inc., manufacturer of precise, reliable, and long-lasting miniature switches, sensors and relays, introduces the MK26 line of reed sensors, which feature extremely high switching power in combination with a compact design. Measuring a diminutive 32mm x 10mm x 6mm, the MK26 offers the slimmest package within MEDER’s standard rectangular reed sensor series. The versatile sensor consumes no power, and is particularly ideal for use in alarm systems, liquid level sensors with floats, position detection, end position sensing in door and window controls, and heating, air conditioning, ventilation (HVAC) applications.

The magnetically operated MK26 reed proximity sensors are designed for screw mounting, with the sensor mounted on a fixed surface and the actuating magnet on the moving surface. Additionally, the MK26 sensor packs a great deal of switching power into a very small package, making it a great solution for designers of forklifts, roller shutters, alarm systems, as well as lifting or conveying mechanisms and level sensing systems of all kinds.

Switching power for the MK26 ranges from zero to 100 watts, and switching voltage ranges from zero to 1000 volts direct current (VDC). The MK26 is available in four Ampere-turns (AT) ranges (B, C, D, E), and three contact forms, A (normally open), B (normally closed), and C (changeover). Numerous cable and connector options are available, as well as a high power switch option in all three contact forms. The MK26 complies with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directive.
