Anaspec Introduces Its Longest-Wavelength Dye

Anaspec has brought out the Hilyte Fluor 750 dye, which, though spectrally similar to Cy7, is the longest-wavelength dye the company currently offers. Its fluorescence emission maximum at 778nm is well separated from commonly used far-red fluorophores, including Hilyte Fluor 647, Hilyte Fluor 680 or allophycocyanin (APC), facilitating multi-colour analysis. Extinction coefficient is 275,000 M-1cm-1, with a quantum yield of 0.12.

With a peak excitation at up to 753nm, conjugates of Hilyte Fluor 750 dyes can be excited by a xenon-arc lamp or dye-pumped lasers operating in the 720 - 750nm range. The Hilyte Fluor 750?s near-infrared spectra render makes it the ideal candidate for in vitro and in vivo tissue imaging.
