Ultrasonic Leak Detector Produces Energy Savings Logis Tech is offering its EP2400 ultrasonic leak/stethoscope detector - a hand-held, portable, highly sensitive device that is designed to produce energy savings and reduce plant-maintenance costs. The EP2400 ultrasonic detector is designed to produce savings in engineering plants by detecting leaks in compressed-air or gas systems and in airlines, vacuums, steam traps, tanks and window seals; by detecting mechanical malfunctions, such as worn bearings, gears and mechanical movable parts within casings; and by locating arcing and corona discharges in electrical systems.

Flowline Reveals Portable Ultrasonic Flowmeter Flowline has introduced the Ultraflux UF801-P portable ultrasonic flowmeter. It incorporates dual processors that increase the speed of signal acquisition and accuracy of measurement to +/-0.5 per cent. The UF801-P is ideal for diagnostic and flow monitoring duties in all water and waste applications. The non-invasive external probes are simply clamped onto the pipe for immediate measurement. The unit can be used on pipe diameters from 10mm up to 10m, includes an integral logger with a data capacity of over six months at two-minute intervals, and has a 14-hour battery life. Operation and set-up can be carried out using the integral keypad or via software, while the digital signal processing feature using multiple processors enhances response times.
