EAO Releases Flush-Mounting Switches EAO has launched a low-depth switch range for mounting in shallow and space-restricted areas. The Series 51 is a flush-mounting switch collection that offers a low behind-panel depth of 34mm, including the contact block. The switches are offered in a compact mono-block design for faster mounting and to provide more room for additional system components. The range comprises illuminated pushbuttons, indicators, selector switches and key switches in a choice of sizes, shapes and materials, including hard-wearing plastic and aluminium. A variety of different lens and bezel colour combinations are also available. Up to four normally open (NO) and four normally closed (NC) contacts can be mounted per switch. The switches can accommodate a wide range of operating voltages from 10uA/100uV up to 250V/5A depending on the switching element. EAO offers a choice of terminals including solder, solder/plug-in and PCB. With front protection to IP65, guarantee...
Hager Energy Saving Stair Case Time Lag Switches Hager launch new range of staircase time lag switches that offers a simple and flexible energy saving solution. The switches are easy to fit or retrofit onto a DIN rail and can be used with any wall switches. The basic time lag switch allows the end user to switch on the lighting for an adjustable amount of time between 30 seconds and 10 minutes. After that time period the lights will switch off automatically. The device also has a manual override. A second switch has additional functionality. Like the basic version it will switch the lights off automatically after an adjustable time. It also has three other modes. A pre-warning mode provides a signal with the lights 'blinking' on and off before the end of the lighting period. The double delay mode allows the end user to press the switch for more than three seconds to provide a time delay of an hour. Finally there is a double delay and pre-warning mode, which can provide th...
PVL Offers MFS Plastics Level Switches Pressure Vacuum Level is offering Riko's MFS plastics level switches. The switches have a gland at the cable entry point to prevent the ingress of moisture. A fitting enables a plastic tube to be fitted over the gland, enabling the level switch to meet the requirements of IP65. Each switch can be configured for normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC) contacts by removing and reversing the float. Riko MFS level switches are compact, lightweight and need little maintenance. All wetted parts are white polypropylene or black nitrile, plastics that are not-conductive and are resistant to chemical attack and to the growth of bacteria and algae when used in float-switch applications. The precision plated reed switch contacts are sealed in an inert gas to prevent arcing. All Riko MFS level switches have unsinkable foamed floats, of nitrile (Buna-N) in the case of the nitrile models, and are available with straight or tapered threads, in versions fo...
Inductive Switches Meet SIL2 And SIL3 Standards IFM Electronic has released inductive sensors which meet SIL2 and SIL3 safety standards. The proximity sensors are available in in M12 (SIL2) or M18, M30 and cube styles (SIL3). Designed with two output signal switching devices built in, the new fail-safe series will work with conventional safety relays and safety PLCs. No special demands such as shielding, twisted wires or separate laying are placed on the industrial standard M12 connection. The sensor is simply connected to existing evaluation units, safety controllers and safe bus systems using a common unscreened 4-core cable. The IFM electronic fail-safe inductive system continuously monitors coil damage and component health. Any fault, at any time is instantly signalled. All failsafe inductive switches from IFM electronic are constructed with full redundant internal circuits, certified by the TUV Rhineland. They provide all the advantages of an inductive sensor: with no moving parts...
