Giga-Tronics Software Suits EW Signal Simulation Giga-tronics has announced Automation Xpress (AX) application software for EW signal simulation using the 2400C and 2500B series of Fast-Switching Microwave Signal Generators. The 2400C and 2500B model Microwave Signal Generators, covering 100kHz to 50GHz, have fast switching and low phase noise, suitable for EW signal simulation. With Automation Xpress (AX) software, test engineers and managers can quickly and easily create a variety of test signals, including antenna scan modulation. Automation Xpress (AX) working in the PC environment provides easy setup of signal simulation scenarios for testing EW radar, Elint systems and other defence receivers. AX enables downloads of complex lists and setup and modification of parameters in a familiar, Windows-based application. A comprehensive list mode, command-line interpreter with script and loop capability, and an auto-programming capability are included for developing and debugging Test...
Rohde And Schwarz Adds Signal Generator Options Rohde and Schwarz is now offering two new options for its RandS SMA100A analogue high-end signal generator. By adding the RandS SMA K27 option, users can quickly configure different pulse trains for tests in radar-specific development, production and maintenance. An external pulse generator is no longer needed. The RandS SMA K28 option can analyse signal power versus frequency, power and time by using the RandS SMA100A signal generator together with a power sensor from the RandS NRP-Z family. Pulse trains consist of pulses that have different durations. Their pulse width and pulse pause can be user configured. Such signals are frequently used in radar systems. Interfering with such pulses is far more difficult than with pulses sent at regular intervals. In addition, these pulses enable radar receivers to detect incorrect measurements more easily and to prevent blind spots on the radar image. The RandS SMA-K27 option is based on the pu...

Sensonics Unveils Signal Conditioning Unit

Sensonics has introduced the Sentry G3 machinery protection monitor, a high-performance signal conditioning unit. The G3 monitor builds upon the established range of Sentry protection systems developed by Sensonics and is designed to be a flexible and feature-rich turbine supervisory system. It provides a universal platform for the interfacing of various sensor types in compliance with the API 670 standard. Each of the units' four channels can be independently programmed to provide continuous monitoring and protection across a broad spectrum of measurement regimes, including vibration, expansion, temperature and speed. Sentry G3 utilises the latest DSP technology, so once a channel is set up and running, the resulting alarm relay and analogue output facilities are independent from the remaining module functionality, ensuring a scalable, high-integrity configuration. The unit has an integral colour LCD display and drive facility that provides immediate viewing and access to the...
