For example, the ETP Express bushes are fixed by tightening a single radial scew and can be set or removed in seconds. ETP bushes can achieve accurate positioning of the hub, both radially and axially. However, the traditional ETP designs are constructed in standard grades of steel, which are prone to corrosion in aggressive environments. S Series Shaft Motor Has Combined Linear Encoders The S series shaft motors from Micromech has combined linear encoders, encoder guides and mechanical systems. Shaft motors are direct-drive linear servomotors that consist of a shaft with laminated magnets and cylindrically wound coils controlled by the flow of current. They are a simple construction that use magnetic circuits consisting of permanent magnets and coils. Characteristics of the motors include precision positioning, high and low constant speed performance. The standard versions of most motors including linear motors is that the circuits are made of magnetic iron, while shaft motors are not. This means that there is no adsorption force between the shaft and forcer (coil), thereby totally eliminating cogging. Reel And Shaft Offers Stacker Truck Cradle Reel And Shaft Handling (RaSHCo) has designed a stacker truck cradle for offloading finished reels from both shafts of slitter rewinders at the same time. The system is easy to install and operate and is safer and faster than traditional methods. The stacker truck cradle slides easily into place under the finished product reels, then gently pulls them from the shafts as the operator reverses the truck. The hydraulically powered cradle then rotates the reels to vertical so they are ready for loading onto a pallet. A separate vertical reel lifter mounted on a customised air hoist, hanging from a swing-jib crane, allows the operators to offload the reels of up to 95kg, quickly and with virtually no effort.
