Angle Locking Bracket Allows Profile Fastening Principally for providing incremental angular adjustment, the Angle Locking Bracket allows the profile to be fastened together at any angle in 2.5deg increments. The bracket would typically be used in pairs on large shelves on track-side equipment and parts trolleys, and is designed to be very easy in operation for the user. When the knurled locking screw is released, spring pressure lifts the toothed disc away from its mating half, allowing easy rotation. Re-tightening of the screw can be done by hand to re-engage the teeth. The unit will then resist very high rotative moments (up to 200Nm). The Angle Locking Brackets come complete with all the fastenings needed to secure them to item profiles and are available from Machine Building Systems.
Lasertube Cutting Speeds Up Tube-Profile Cutting Lasertube Cutting has announced it will exhibit its services at Subcon 2009, to be held at NEC Birmingham from 9-11 June. Lasertube Cutting claims it can complete saddling tubes for applications such as truss work and bridge structures in 30 per cent of the time taken by traditional methods. With five advanced tube lasers it can offer a complete service for profiling tube and structural hollow sections. Lasertube Cutting has an Adige Jumbo laser, which allows it to process tubes up to 508mm in diameter, square hollow sections up to 400 x 400mm and rectangular hollow sections up to 500 x 300mm in thicknesses up to 16mm, including weld preparations with a maximum input length of 18m and finished lengths of 15m. Tubes UK, a sister company of Lasertube Cutting, carries more than 6,000 tonnes ex-stock of Grade S355J2H hollow sections, hot finished and cold formed in lengths up to 18m. These can be supplied cut to length, including squar...
DeltaV System Completes Host Profile Registration Emerson Process Management's DeltaV digital automation system, with AMS Suite: Intelligent Device Manager has passed the Fieldbus Foundation's Host Profile Registration Process. This registration process tests to ensure robust interoperability and integration between different host systems and devices. The Foundation's testing process benefits both automation suppliers and end users by providing consistency in the multi-vendor Foundation fieldbus environment. It conducts functional testing with a test device and specialised Device Descriptions (DDs) and Capabilities Files (CFs). The host profile must support this clear set of required features.
