Ondrives Adds Precision Bevel Gears To Portfolio Ondrives has added straight-cut precision bevel gears to its precision gear range. Ondrives' straight-cut bevel gears are made to Quality Grade 7f24 DIN 3985, with other Quality Grades available on request. Standard materials are 817M40T steel and 303 stainless steel, with 805M20 case-hardened steel also available. Ratios are 1:1 as standard, with 2:1 available. Tapped holes, pin holes and keyways can be added as standard modifications for a nominal charge. Complete specials to suit customer drawings are also available. The technical department welcomes the chance to quote for these as one-off prototypes or volume orders. Scheduled deliveries can also be easily accommodated where required.

TTI Adds Harvatek LEDs To Component Portfolio TTI has added Taiwanese LED manufacturer Harvatek to its discrete-components portfolio. Harvatek produces up to 500 million SMD LEDs monthly, with devices also available as light bars. As well as its standard LED portfolio, the manufacturer will also launch infrared devices and LED modules in 2010. Harvatek's product portfolio covers standard SMD LEDs including PLCC2, PLCC4, PLCC6 and 0402, 0603, 0805 and 1206 size chipleds. Power LEDs (Harvaleds) up to 3W, leaded products, displays, light bars and custom solutions are also available. Devices come in all standard colours, bi-colour and RGB.

The portfolio provides a common forum where design input from mechanical, controls, software and electrical engineers can be more easily gathered and evaluated. Bulte has brought out a screw range that includes five new models of wing screws, offering more than 160 possibilities. They are suitable for all sectors of industry (for example furniture, electronics and engineering) and are ideal for manual assembly. The standard material is natural polyamide (nylon) which is resistant to various chemical products, has excellent mechanical properties - including wear resistance, low friction coefficient, high melting point and good impact resistance - and is light weight. Another advantage includes finger tightening (no tools required). The working temperature range is -30 to +100C. These screws can also be manufactured in other materials, such as PP, PE, PVDF and POM (these materials are recommended for their good food and medical qualities) or PA glass-filled (high tensile strength and rigidity - it replaces aluminium and zinc in tapped parts). Yamaichi Extends Portfolio Of Connection Systems Yamaichi Electronics has extended its portfolio of board-to-cable connection systems for high-speed applications. The company has introduced a connector system to fulfil the requirements for high data rates and good low-noise characteristics that are required in multimedia, infotainment and entertainment applications. The HF507S series is a range of board connectors characterised by transfer rates up to 5Gbps. They are available with 21, 31, 41 and 51 pin counts in 180 degrees or 90 degrees, as well as in shielded or unshielded versions. Yamaichi also offers three different corresponding cable systems - YFB, YFT and HF507P series - in order to meet the variety of applications and requirements.
