Intelatrac System Monitors Plant Workflow Invensys Operations Management has released its updated Wonderware Intelatrac mobile workforce management and decision-support system to drive consistent best practice in plant operations. The Intelatrac 4.0 system's dynamic procedures, coupled with the open Wonderware system platform, can help companies adapt their workflow based on actual plant conditions. The updated system features new tools that extend and integrate it with important plant systems, allowing users to share data with the mobile workforce, providing better visibility into real-time plant operations and helping achieve asset and productivity excellence. The Intelatrac 4.0 system has a new oil and gas module that provides specialty calculations for tank volumes and pressure chart conversions. It can also deliver mobile data collection and calculation capabilities to hydrocarbon accounting systems, such as Tieto Energy Components, enhancing the ability to reliably operate r...
Kaspro Introduces Falcon Industrial-Grade Monitors Kaspro USA has introduced the Falcon series of industrial-grade monitors. The Falcon series offers panel-mount, chassis, rack-mount, IP65 and open-frame options. The monitors are available in a range of housing options. The company is offering the 15in (38cm), 17in and 19in models in its basic portfolio; however, screen sizes up to 50in are possible on demand.
OSM Safety Unit Monitors Motor-Rotation Speed Omron Scientific Technologies has introduced the G9SX-LM Low-speed Safety Monitoring Unit. Consisting of two proximity sensors and a G9SX safety controller with fault diagnostics, the G9SX-LM is a Category 3 (EN954-1), SIL 3 (IEC/EN 62061) certified redundant safety system that monitors and confirms motor-rotation speed to facilitate safe machine maintenance. The system can also provide standstill monitoring. The G9SX-LM allows an operator to access the machine for maintenance work while the machine is running at a safe, maximum set operating threshold of 10Hz. Should the motor speed exceed the preset speed, the G9SX-LM will stop the machine immediately. An optional A4EG Enabling Grip Switch provides an additional layer of safety protection that, if pressed or released, will also immediately stop the machine. The G9SX-LM is certified to all relevant North American and International safety standards and is engineered to deliver reliabl...

Bosch Security Unveils Its LED Flat Panel Monitors

Bosch Security Systems launches its LED flat panel high resolution monitors for use with analog video, digital video recorder (DVR) and PC applications. The new range is being introduced alongside a similar range of normal LCD flat panel monitors and will replace the company's current CRT monitor range in the CCTV market. The monitors are available in 8.4 inch and 10.4 inch versions and feature colour LED backlight panels. They offer a maximum brightness of between 400 and 450 cd/m2, high colour accuracy and consistency for easy viewing and interpretation of images, and a maximum contrast ratio between 600:1 and 700:1. The panels refresh every 10 to 20 milliseconds, providing crisp, clear images with minimal smearing and image ghosting in fast motion video. They also feature a wide range of horizontal and vertical viewing angles that provide comfortable, clear viewing. LED backlight panels help to avoid luminance degradation, enabling the monitors to maintain their brightness le...
Turbidity Analyser Monitors Water Quality The Triton TR8 turbidity analyser, from Electro-Chemical Devices, provides water quality monitoring using a multi-beam optical sensor, intelligent electronics and self-cleaning technology. The Triton TR8 TA's sensor measures turbidity with a multi-beam optical assembly. The first light beam is a reference detector that compensates for changes in the LED light source caused by ageing or other variables. The second light beam detects the short path length, which is best for high concentration measurement. The third light beam measures the longer path length, which is best for lower concentrations. With its intelligent microprocessor-based design, the Triton TR8 TA's sensor electronics constantly adjusts turbidity signal readings versus the reference detector for measurement accuracy. A built-in digital filter helps to suppress potentially interfering signals while self-monitoring diagnostics assure reliability. The Triton TR8 TA...
