Optitex Presents Textile Industry Webinars Optitex will host a series of webinars for current users of CAD software and other parties interested in the fashion and textile industry. The webinars provide an opportunity for anyone interested in the latest CAD technology and the many ways it can streamline workflow. The webinars will provide information for those in the fashion and textile industry looking to increase profits during pre- and post-production phases. Participants will be provided with knowledge to enhance speed, accuracy and fit when working with CAD software. Participants can review topics such as 3D design and fit, nesting, marking and animation, while acquiring tips to maximise the usage of their current software. Optitex specialists will lead the series of webinars from 28 October 2009 until 24 March 2010.

Aerospace Industry Buys Flexible Enclosures Huntingdon Fusion Techniques (HFT) has sold flexible welding enclosures to global aerospace manufacturers involved in helicopter, bellows, spacecraft and fluid handling systems production. The HFT enclosures are manufactured from UV-resistant PVC, and are suitable for welding with oxygen levels down to 10 parts per million. All enclosures are manufactured as standard with two sets of glove ports, but extra sets can be specified. The upper half of the enclosure is optically clear and provides good welding vision. An entry lock is fitted, for small parts to be taken in and out without loss of purge quality. An exhaust valve allows continuous purging, so that impurities can be expelled during welding.

Winco has expanded its offering with the addition of series GN 5339.5 solid stainless-steel triangular knobs. Available in metric and inch sizes, the triangular knobs were specially designed for use on machinery in the food industry and are RoHS compliant. The smooth and enclosed areas, as well as the corner radii, comply with the requirements of hygiene standards. With their ergonomic design, the knobs also withstand a relatively high clamping torque. The hand knob is offered in a matte, shot-blasted finish, with threaded and blind-bored holes for mounting. Other modifications, such as inch- or metric-tapped holes, blind- or through-bores, and cross- or set-screw holes, are available upon request.
