Blue Ridge Enhances Fluid Dynamics Software Blue Ridge Numerics has announced that the recent release of CFdesign 2010 fully supports NX 7. NX users are able to conduct computational fluid dynamics (CFD) studies from the NX 7 environment. The winter release of CFdesign 2010 leverages the synchronous modelling tools found within NX 7 and provides tighter integration with CFdesign's multi-scenario design study environment. CFdesign provides a flexible workflow with full associativity with the NX 7 CAD platform. NX customers can begin a fluid flow or heat transfer design study without having to export geometry.

Rockwell Bases Fluid Router On Process Controller Rockwell Automation has introduced a repeatable fluid-routing solution delivered on a process-controller platform. It is a configurable system that gives consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturers a method of transferring fluids from one destination to the next. Mike Jamieson, global director - consumer packaged goods - Rockwell Automation, said: 'The fluid-routing solution helps simplify the fluid-routing process by using pre-developed modules to define and control routing paths. 'This helps to reduce system life-cycle costs and improve scalability.' The Rockwell Automation fluid-routing solution is delivered on the Logix Control Platform and the Factorytalk integrated production and performance software suite.
