Ethernet Direct Offers Falcon Wireless Mesh System

Ethernet Direct has introduced the Falcon FWO-800: an industrial 2.4GHz 802.11b/g outdoor wireless mesh system. The Falcon FWO-800 is a cost-effective layer-two wireless mesh product; it comes with a single radio work in 2.4GHz band, two sets of SSID and time division for backhaul and AP operations simultaneously. It comes with a WMM option to enhance user performance and density QoS, supporting bandwidth priority to voice (voice over internet protocol) and image (surveillance/IPTV). The device can be deployed for mobile applications and outdoor and indoor applications, such as city areas, factory plants, communities, campuses, parks, camps, hotels, malls, condos and offices.

Icon-32900 Range Converts Ethernet Network Signals

Axiomtek's Icon-32900 series of rugged media converters is designed to convert Ethernet network signals to fibre-network signals. The Icon-32900 series applies high-quality components with wide operating-temperature range and long MTBF. To enhance system reliability, the converters offer a Link Fault Pass Through feature, redundant power and relay output alarm. Axiomtek's Icon-32900 series provides a way of connecting two types of network segment. The Icon-32900L media converter transforms 100Base-TX (Copper Gigabit) media to 100Base-FX (Fibre Gigabit) media in multi-mode or single-mode fibre optic. The RJ-45 port on the unit is dual-speed 10/100Mbps with half/full duplex auto sensing. The Icon-32900L series comes with Link Fault Pass-Through (LFP) for tracing the network-link failure. The series is designed with an IP20 aluminum housing to help dissipate heat efficiently, allowing the system to operate in high temperatures. The Icon-32900L series has switching capabilitie...

Ethernet Switch Supplies 15.4W Of Power Per Port

ICP DAS USA has announced the launch of the NS-205PSE, a compact, five-port, unmanaged Ethernet switch that connects network elements while supplying up to 15.4W of power per port. Each of the ports supports 10/100Mbps speed auto-negotiation while the device offers 3.2 Gbps of high-performance memory bandwidth, so it can handle some traffic. The NS-205 transitions between different configurations with its auto MDI/MDI-X crossover technology for plug-and-play adaptability. Other notable features include fully duplex IEEE 802.3x and half-duplex back-pressure flow control to avoid data interference, store-and-forward architecture and IEEE 802.3af compliance on its four power-over-Ethernet ports. The NS-205PSE has both auto-detection of powered devices and automatic power management. The unit can operate within a temperature range of -30C to 75C, sports over-temperature, over-current and over/under-voltage detection and is robust. Its LED indicators allow users to quickly monitor its ...
