With its inventory of connector piece-parts and automated assembly machines, PEI-Genesis said it is able to assemble, test and despatch the Amphe-EX connectors in less than 48 hours from receipt of order. Designed for use in harsh environments, such as those associated with oil and gas exploration, petrochemical plants and fuel storage sites, Amphe-EX is a versatile miniature connector that accepts copper, co-axial or fibre-optic contacts. It can also be used where power and communication to the sensor is restricted. Designed for systems integrators and original equipment manufacturers, the system is claimed to be simple to install and use. It is also portable and offers good performance for real-time in-process temperature sensing.
