Leuze Extremely Tough 328 Series Sensors

Leuze electronic is releasing new cylindrical sensors for particularly difficult conditions. The new 328 series is based on the optical platform of the well-known stan-dard 318B series and, thanks to the metal sleeve in the housing, offers hig-her mechanical strength than the standard product made of high-quality plastic. The operating principles available in the new series, which range from throughbeam photoelectric sensors to retro-reflective photoelectric sensors to light scanners with sensitivity adjustment via teach button, combine all relevant designs with cable or plug connection. An adjustable retro-reflective photoelectric sensor model with polarization filter for particularly tricky applications is also included in the product line. With ranges of up to 15 m (throughbeam photoelectric sensors), 6 m (retro-reflective photoelectric sensors) and 1 m (light scanners), they fit perfectly in a variety of applications for object detection in materials handling and packaging te

New Leuze Sensor Series 18B

With the 18B sensor series, Leuze electronic expands its extensive line of sensors in the area of high-performance sensors for transparent media. Compared to its predecessor – the 18 series – the new sensor scores with a more robust housing, smaller dimensions, shorter response time, higher switching frequency, improved adjustability of the switching point and a tracking function for extending the cleaning interval (50x). Due to the new features, it is possible to reliably detect fast, small, thin and transparent objects, such as foils, even under extreme environmental conditions – a true plus, for example, in the beverage industry. The visibility of the light spot and the LED display have also been improved, thereby simplifying start-up and operation. The optics minimize light beam tolerances to the extent that mounting can be quickly performed without alignment. The electrical connection is established either via the M12 plug or the integrated cable.

Flomotion Pumps Hard-to-Handle Chemicals with the SMV

Flomotion Systems develops and manufactures unique seal-less peristaltic pumps that eliminate loss-of-prime failures in chemical feed applications. Typical markets served include water & wastewater treatment, chemical, food & dairy, pharmaceutical, pulp & paper, energy management, power and irrigation. A long-time user of the Lenze drives, Flomotion incorporated the economical, compact and lightweight SMVector in the design of their 2001HEC Series pumps. The Flomotion 2001HEC Series are rugged, reliable and cost effective industrial hose pumps built to succeed in harsh industrial environments. Several features of the SMVector make it a perfect fit for the job, including a removable terminal cover, easy access for control and power wiring and the fact that it can handle a wide range of operating temperatures from -10 to 55ÂșC. Last but not least, according to Flomotion, the SMVector offers better protection against electrical shock than any other NEMA 1 controller on the
