Rubate To Make Appearance At Subcon 2009

Metal-processor Rubate will exhibit on stand N118 at Subcon 2009, which will take place at the NEC Birmingham from 9-11 June. Rubate's products include excavator buckets, containers, components for agricultural equipment and stainless-steel chimneys. Rubate's metal-processing business evolved from its original activities in plumbing and construction and now accounts for 65 per cent of turnover, with export a high priority.

The company has customers in Sweden, Norway, Germany and Belgium. When Rubate was set up it focused on installing external and internal water supplies, sewerage, ventilation and heating systems. In 1997 it opened its first plumbing store, with additional stores following. In 2003 Rubate started building and reconstructing roads and in order to support its plumbing and construction facilities it set up a metal-processing facility.

At first the main activity was sheet-metal working, producing stainless-steel chimneys according to EN1865-1:2003. Then, with the support of European funding, the shop was equipped with modern CNC machines - including a Bystronic laser and Beyeler press brake - to provide a wider range of metal-processing services. The company said it is committed to investing in capabilities and in increasing quality based on its ISO 9001-2000 quality system.

Typical products include excavator buckets, containers, components for agricultural equipment and stainless-steel chimneys. Subcon 2009 will give buyers the chance to source all types of subcontract manufacturing services from the UK's biggest showcase of national and international suppliers.
