Lasertube Cutting Speeds Up Tube-Profile Cutting

Lasertube Cutting has announced it will exhibit its services at Subcon 2009, to be held at NEC Birmingham from 9-11 June. Lasertube Cutting claims it can complete saddling tubes for applications such as truss work and bridge structures in 30 per cent of the time taken by traditional methods. With five advanced tube lasers it can offer a complete service for profiling tube and structural hollow sections.

Lasertube Cutting has an Adige Jumbo laser, which allows it to process tubes up to 508mm in diameter, square hollow sections up to 400 x 400mm and rectangular hollow sections up to 500 x 300mm in thicknesses up to 16mm, including weld preparations with a maximum input length of 18m and finished lengths of 15m.

Tubes UK, a sister company of Lasertube Cutting, carries more than 6,000 tonnes ex-stock of Grade S355J2H hollow sections, hot finished and cold formed in lengths up to 18m. These can be supplied cut to length, including square cuts and mitres. Lasertube Cutting will exhibit at Subcon on Stand C100. Subcon 2009 will give buyers the chance to source all types of subcontract manufacturing services from the UK's biggest showcase of national and international suppliers.
