The device offers integrated wireless communications including Bluetooth, WLAN and 3G/GPRS, as well as GPS, a choice of powerful processors and a Windows operating system.
It lacks moving and external parts, offers an IP65 rating and has survived drop tests to 1.2m and temperatures ranging from -20 to +50C. The device can also be used for in-vehicle applications using an optional in-cab docking station, which also provides additional connectivity options.
For automatic identification/data capture, customers can use any Bluetooth barcode, chip card or RFID reader. In addition, the hot swappable battery allows extended periods of operation and a choice of rugged hard disk or flash disk provides secure data storage capabilities. JLT also offers a range of accessories including mounting systems and keyboards.
